David Goldman, BCBA

  • Tenure with AFL and as a BCBA/RBT overall: David Goldman has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst since 2016 with a specialization in early intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

  • Educational/Industry/Career Highlights/Personal Achievements to share: David started his BCBA career working in an independent school assisting with the development of a special education program specific to that school’s needs. Then in the second half of 2017, David took on a new role working in an Autism clinic and has since helped to set up 4 Autism clinics throughout the state of Kentucky and Indiana. In addition to his work as a BCBA, David has worked in the mental health field since 2012 with patients ranging from children through adults all of whom had various diagnosis and ailments. David holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Kentucky University and a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Spalding University. Throughout his career he has used the tools of his trade to assist numerous patients improve the quality of their life or learn knew relevant skills to be more successful in their current environments.   

  • What brought you to AFL?: David Joined Adapt for Life in September of 2020 to assist with his continued growth and expansion. He was drawn to the freedom of programming and ability to help the patients he served without restrictions dictated by individuals who had no knowledge of the patients being worked with. The family atmosphere and clinical freedom were all important aspects of therapy which David hold’s as important for patients and their families to be successful. Early in David’s career a co-worker said to him “this is not a field that most people choose, it’s a field that chooses you”. This has been a driving force for David as he feels that this work is not so much a calling as it is a passion that he has discovered since entering this science.
