AMBER ZIRNHELD

Operations manager

Amber Zirnheld, Operations Manager

  • Tenure with AFL and as a BCBA/RBT overall: joined Adapt for Life in November 2020 as an RBT Trainer and was promoted to Operations Manager in March for our first clinic outside of the state of Indiana. I found a love for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) in 2018 and became an RBT February of 2019.

  • Educational/Industry/Career Highlights/Personal Achievements to share: I graduated with my undergrad from the University of Louisville in 2016 where I studied Psychology with a concentration in social sciences and Peace, Justice & Conflict Transformation. I was also a member of the UofL Marching Band and Color Guard and assisted in the RACER Lab research study at UofL where I studied and assisted with treating the emotional and behavioral difficulties that are common to children and adolescents with ADHD.

  • One thing that most people don’t know about me: Outside of ABA, I am also very passionate about Winter Guard International (WGI). Not just as an audience member but also as a former performer and director with many groups in the Kentuckiana and Dayton, OH region. I still volunteer when I can and enjoy spinning and dancing during my free time.

  • What brought you to AFL?: Since being at Adapt for Life, I have had nothing but great opportunities and support from some of the best in the field. The strong teamwork dynamic, level of transparency amongst staff and families and the fact that we use ABA to not only better the lives of our clients and families but also for ourselves in the workplace is the why I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else.
